Earth and Tea Café was created in July 2006 by the owner, Aaram Millones. He was inspired after a visit to a tea shop in Washington DC, in the summer of 2006. Initially, a simple tea shop was the goal; however, after meeting Marielys Leon, a chef from Cuba, and discussing the idea further, an international flare was added to the idea. After a few months of experimentation with dishes and décor, Earth and Tea Café opened in downtown Harrisonburg in January, 2007. The business has evolved over the years to include a greater assortment of teas, wide variety of international dishes.
Earth and Tea cafe is open until 10 am – 5 pm weekdays, 9 am – 5 pm weekends to bring an experience unique to Harrisonburg that will mimic an international lounge setting.
We are now offering breakfast daily, and brunch 9am to 5pm on Sundays.
